The number of building footprints inside a Location's boundary according to one footprint dataset — a locate/enumerate attribute of the area, like its boundary, not a programme figure. Repeatable: one entry per source (and, for detection datasets, per confidence threshold), each dated, so OSM, Overture and Google Open Buildings counts sit side by side and are never mistaken for one another. Used for microplanning sanity checks (buildings vs. population, households vs. buildings) on catchments, settlements and admin units (catchments round, Sep 2026).
